You may think these are excellent supplements for weight loss but usually they contain sugar and artificial ingredients that downplay the lowered caloric intake. Healthy fats and fibers that are essential to your body are absent from these bars if you are replacing too many meals with them. These bars can of course be a good snack to get you through the day or be combined with a salad or healthy meal but not as a meal itself. If you’re looking at food bars to replace real food, you have to be especially careful that you’re not just eating candy bars with healthier sounding names!
A majority of these drinks are innately sweet however they won’t bestow upon you the same break down or other side effects you get from however they won’t give you the same crash or other side effects you reap from getting an unnecessary amount of caffeine or sugar. Another technique is to get a juicer and craft your own energy drink in the comforts of your home.
When going through the energy drinks section at the supermarket, you may have noticed, or tried something called fruit infused water or a beverage with a similar name. These are not really energy drinks so much as water with fruit flavor. They are however healthier than an energy drink because there is not the added sugar and caffeine. For a solution to your problem you can even make these at home by adding some fruit into a glass of water or even a picture of water in the fridge for use throughout the day. They are completely natural leaving out the sugar and caffeine you would find in an energy drink making them a great alternative to those energy supplements. Use your brain to make and informed decision before using any sort of energy drink or food bar. Some can be good for you if not over used but it’s important that you know what you are getting into instead of believing the company who’s trying to sell it to you because they aren’t worried about your health so much as their bottom line. It’s in your best interest to know what you are buying so that you can avoid eating something that will have the reverse effect on you from what you intended it to especially since there are so many of these products available to you these days.
